Accessibility Statement
Virginia Addiction & Mental Health Center is committed to making our website and our care accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Last updated August 2026
Our standard
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, and other disabilities.
What we do
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and landmarks
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators
- Color contrast targets that meet AA thresholds
- Responsive layouts and text that resizes without loss of content
- Periodic reviews with automated and manual testing
Accessibility in our care
We provide reasonable accommodations for treatment, including interpretation services, assistive listening support, accessible facilities, and telehealth options for patients in Virginia who cannot easily travel to our Arlington location.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Some content may not yet fully conform, and we address issues as we identify them. Third-party tools embedded on this site may not be fully under our control.
Report a barrier or request an accommodation
If you encounter a barrier on this website or need information in an alternate format, contact us and we will help directly and work to correct the issue.
