Mental health programs

Dual-diagnosis care

When a substance use disorder and a mental health condition show up together, treating one without the other rarely holds. We provide integrated outpatient care that addresses both under one coordinated plan.

How dual-diagnosis works

How we treat

Evidence-based care, delivered with structure

Evidence-based therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed therapy anchor our outpatient programs. These approaches help patients name their patterns, build coping skills, and hold onto change after the program ends.

Medication support

Our psychiatric and medical team provides medication management for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. When it fits the clinical picture, our medical staff may prescribe FDA-approved medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol and opioid use disorders.

Group, individual & family work

Patients attend group therapy, individual sessions, and family or support-person sessions as part of their plan. That combination breaks isolation, rebuilds trust, and creates a network that supports recovery at home.

Conditions we treat

Addiction, mental health, or both

We evaluate and treat the full range of substance use and mental health conditions that commonly lead people to outpatient care. If you are unsure whether your situation fits, a confidential phone assessment is the fastest way to find out.

Why Tysons clients choose us

Discreet care that works around a demanding career

Tysons is one of the busiest employment centers in Northern Virginia — consulting, government contracting, tech, finance, and law. The people who work here rarely have the option to disappear for thirty days. Our outpatient model is built for that reality: real clinical intensity during program hours, and your own bed, family, and responsibilities the rest of the day.

Privacy matters here too. Our Arlington center is close enough for in-person PHP and IOP without traveling into DC, and secure Virginia telehealth means some patients never have to explain a midday absence. We'll help you decide which level of care actually fits your schedule, your clinical needs, and your benefits.

Frequently asked questions

Tysons patients often ask

How far is the center from Tysons?

Our Arlington center is roughly 9–11 miles southeast of Tysons Corner, about 20–30 minutes by car via I-66, Route 7, or the Dulles Toll Road depending on traffic. We also offer secure telehealth sessions throughout Virginia for patients who would rather skip the commute.

Do you offer telehealth for Tysons residents?

Yes. Our clinicians are licensed in Virginia, so telehealth sessions are available to Tysons residents and anyone else in the state. In-person care is available at our Arlington outpatient center.

Can I keep working while I'm in treatment?

Many Tysons patients do. Our IOP runs three hours a day, three to five days a week, with morning, evening, and virtual tracks so treatment can sit alongside a demanding job. PHP is a bigger commitment at six hours a day, five days a week, and we'll talk through leave options if that's the right level of care.

What levels of care do you offer?

We offer partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric care, and dual-diagnosis treatment. When detox or residential care is needed first, we coordinate placement with vetted partners.

Do you take insurance?

We work with most major insurance plans. Our admissions team verifies your behavioral health benefits and explains your expected cost before you start. We can also discuss self-pay options if you're uninsured.
